<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem in a conventional display device that only a still image or moving one is not displayed by switching the still image and moving one while being aware of types of images played back in a playback mode. <P>SOLUTION: Tilt of a display device is detected (S121) if the playback mode is not completed (S120). Then, whether the tilt is detected by a moving image aspect ratio, that is, whether a predetermined angle is tilted is determined (S122). If the display device is horizontally positioned and not tilted, the display mode is forwarded to S131 and the still image is displayed. If the display device is tilted, the display mode is forwarded to S141, and the moving image is displayed. If there is provided the previously selected image, a thumbnail including the selected image, and if not, the thumbnail including the most recent picked-up image (last picked-up image) are displayed on each of liquid crystal displays (S132 and S133 regarding the still image, S142 and S143 about the moving image).
