<p>PURPOSE: A device for discharging high current of a welding apparatus is provided to accomplish low impedance of a discharge path by designing the discharge path between a capacitor bank and an induction coil. CONSTITUTION: A device for discharging a high current of a welding apparatus includes a pulse power device(100) generating pulse energy of the high current. The pulse power device includes a discharge circuit(110), a capacitor bank(120), a high current switch(130), and an induction coil(140). The discharge circuit is comprised of a rectifier circuit and an inverter circuit. The discharge circuit discharges the capacitor bank for 3 ~ 4 seconds. The capacitor bank discharges high-capacity capacitors with supplied direct currents. The capacitor bank is designed to offer low impedance to minimize the pulse length.</p> |
