<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage container which is used both for rolled type items, i.e. a plurality of stored items are connected through an auxiliary cut line such as a perforation line and for laminate type items, i.e. a plurality of stored items are folded and superimposed and to provide the method of using the container. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This storage container 1 used for storing stored items 3 in a rolled form and also for stored items 3 folded and laminated in a plurality of layers is provided with a mounting part for mounting a container body 2 vertically invertible on its back face side. The take out opening 4 for taking out the stored items extending in the longitudinal direction on the front face side is formed with a cut off piece 6 which cuts/separates the rolled type storage item along an auxiliary cut off line M formed at predetermined intervals.
