DIELECTRIC MATERIAL FOR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND GLASS PLATE FOR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

Provided is a dielectric material for a plasma display panel which can be sintered at a low temperature.  Moreover, the dielectric material can be sintered on a glass substrate without causing warp of the glass substrate, thereby improving the strength of the glass substrate.  Provided is also a glass plate for a plasma display panel having a dielectric layer formed by using the dielectric material. The dielectric material for the plasma display panel contains a ZnO-B2O3-SiO2-based glass powder.  The glass powder substantially does not contain PbO and contains ZnO in the range from 1 to 20 mol %, B2O3 in the range from 26 to 50 mol %, SiO2 in the range from 42 to 50 mol %, and Bi2O3 in the range from 0.1 to 5 mol %.
