PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, capable of appropriately performing recording of a failure analysis log, a log recording control method and a program. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes an event recording means which records history of an event which occurs in the apparatus to a history management means; a comparison means which starts, in response to the occurrence of failure in processing according to the event, comparison of the history recorded in the history management means before the occurrence of failure with history of an event which occurs after the occurrence of failure, and determines the necessity/unnecessity of recording of log information based on the comparison; and a log recording means which records, after the necessity of recording of log information is determined by the comparison means, log information related to processing according to the event to a log information management means.
