PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade degradation in and damage to electronic components of home electric appliances by enabling a closing member to be closed or a slide shelf to be stored in a state in which a lock is released and safety is secured. SOLUTION: A home electric appliance storage 1 includes a storage part 3, a feeding part, and a use state detection means 5 for detecting the use state of the home electric appliance 2, and includes one or both of the closing member 6 and the slide shelf 7. The home electric appliance storage further includes a detection means 12 for detecting the opening/closing state of the closing member 6 or the pull-out/storage state of the slide shelf 7, a locking means 8 for maintaining and restraining the opening state of the closing member 6 or the pull-out state of the slide shelf 7, and a control means 9 for controlling the locking means 8 so as to close the closing member 6 or store the slide shelf 7 with a delay on the basis of the detection result of the use state detection means 5 when shifting from a locked state to an unlocked state.
