PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly imaging apparatus capable of monitoring a sweep speed and determining immediately after photographing, whether or not retake is required, and to provide an imaging method and a program. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device 12; an image signal processing part 161 having a function of compositing a plurality of photographed images photographed while sweeping the imaging apparatus into one; a posture sensor 14 for obtaining the posture information of the imaging apparatus; and a control part 162 for processing the information of the posture sensor 14. The control part 162 reports the appropriate value of a sweep angular velocity on the basis of the detection information of the posture sensor, and issues an alarm when the sweep angular velocity is high exceeding an appropriate range.
