<p>The device has a measuring resistor (1A) for receiving current to be measured (IsA). A signal amplifier (2A) has an input connected to the measuring resistor and an output for providing a measurement signal (SA). Another measuring resistor (1B) is serially connected to the resistor (1A). A voltage limiter (6A) is parallely connected on the resistor (1A) for deriving shunt current (IL1), when limitation voltage (VL1) is attained on the resistor (1A). A value of the resistor (1A) is higher than a value of the resistor (1B). An independent claim is also included for a processing unit comprising a transformer.</p> |
