The method involves placing a punch on a side of a gypsum board presenting a decorative covering at 90 degrees with respect to the gypsum board. A die is placed on a side of the gypsum board not presenting the decorative covering. The punch is moved at advancement speed ranging between 6 to 10 meters per minute. The gypsum board is perforated using the punch, and the punch is withdrawn.
