PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the cracking in a bonding end surface in the construction of a lining body within an excavated hole by shield construction method to eliminate a leakage in the lining body to be constructed. SOLUTION: A protective sheet with excellent tensile resistance consisting of a woven fabric or non-woven fabric of a high strength fiber such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, steel fiber or the like is adhered to the bonding end surface 11B of a segment through an acrylic layer consisting of an acrylic resin to form a protective layer 21. Since the bonding end surface 11B of the segment 11 is protected by the protective layer 21 in the propulsion of a shield machine by pressing the bonding end surface 11B of the segment 11 by a jack, the cracking in the bonding end surface 11b by the tensile force generated between jacks is prevented to construct a lining body never causing a leakage by the crack.
