<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven fan unit in which heat radiation performance of a heat sink can be ensured while shortening the axial direction dimension of a motor-driven fan. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The motor-driven fan unit includes: a stator having a plurality of excitation coils; a rotor rotatably supported for the stator and rotating based on attraction and repulsion with the excitation coils; a fan rotating integrally with the rotor to form an air blow; a case 2 for supporting the stator and housing a substrate; a switching element provided on the substrate and switching the state of supplying a driving current to the excitation coils; and a heat sink 7 for radiating heat from the switching element. In the inside of the case 2, a wind blowing passage 8 from an introducing port 81 opened on an upstream of a rotating direction of a fan 1 of a lid plate 21b to an air blowing port 82 opened on a downstream of the rotating direction of the fan 1 of the lid plate 21b, and the heat sink 7 is arranged on the air blowing passage 8.
