<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device and luminaire capable of preventing occurrence of glares, while preventing deterioration in the optical output. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device 10 includes: a tabular luminous unit A having a luminous element 11 and a reflector 13 for reflecting light from the luminous element; a body 12 which is formed with an opening 14a at one end thereof, and in which the luminous unit is disposed, at a position where the reflector is depressed from an open end of the opening and a light-shield wall 14f is provided between the periphery of the luminous unit and the open end; a light control member 15, provided at the opening of the body for controlling light emitted from the luminous unit; a cap member 17 supported by the other end of the body; and a lighting device 16 for lightening the luminous element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
