PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle case capable of reducing a number of part items as compared with an axle case of a back plate type, and having strength equal to or not less than the axle case of the back plate type. SOLUTION: The outer diameter and the plate thickness of an end surface in a longitudinal direction of a body 12 and an end surface in a longitudinal direction of a spindle 14 are made to be generally equal. In addition to that, as shown in Fig. 4(B), a spindle is formed in a shape smoothly connecting a center line CT of the plate thickness on the end surface in the longitudinal direction of the body 12 and a center line CT of the plate thickness on the end surface in the longitudinal direction of the spindle 14.
