<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image forming apparatus, which can correct the inclination of a manuscript image on each page even if reading a double-page spread. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: an image data storing unit 102 for storing image data; an edge detection unit 104 for detecting edges of a manuscript and a back margin of each page from the stored image data; a page data storing unit 105 which divides a manuscript image on a page-by-page basis and stores image data of each page based on the detected back margin of each page; an inclination detection unit 106 for detecting an amount of inclination in the main-scanning direction of each divided image data of the manuscript image; an inclination correction unit 107 for correcting each divided image data for inclination based on the detected amount of inclination; and a manuscript integration unit 108 for integrating the corrected image data of each page into one page. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
