<p>Provided is a wireless communication device which makes it possible to obtain optimized error rate characteristics at all times even in the case of using constellation rearrangement in conjunction with IR-HARQ in an IR system which employs LDPC code for the error correction code. In the wireless communication device, an LDPC encoding unit (101) encodes a transmission bit string using LDPC encoding based on a check matrix to generate a codeword, and a modulation unit (104) modulates systematic bits or a plurality of redundant versions by mapping the systematic bits and the parity bits that have a higher priority to higher order bits among the plurality of bits constituting a data symbol, and mapping the systematic bits and the parity bits that have a lower priority to lower order bits among the plurality of bits constituting a data symbol.</p> |
