LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE, BACKLIGHT UNIT, AND OPTICAL FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing a hue change depending on a visual field angle.

SOLUTION: A color correction filter 30 is provided between a liquid crystal display panel 10 and a backlight unit 20. The color correction filter 30 includes a color layer 33 having a plurality of unit color layers 32 on the surface at the liquid crystal display panel 10 side of a base material 31 and a reflection layer 35 having unit reflection layers 34 disposed opposite to the unit color layers 32 via the base material 31. Though the hue of light in the vertical direction and the hue of light in an oblique direction are different from each other in light transmitted by the color correction filter 30 from light sources 21 and made incident on the liquid crystal display panel 10, a difference between the hues in the vertical direction and the oblique direction is nearly eliminated in light emitted from the liquid crystal display panel 10.
