<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a capacitor when a heating device having the capacitor as an auxiliary power source is used for a fixing device of an image formation device or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A heating part 2 is provided with a main heating element 2a and an auxiliary heating element 2b, and power is fed to the main heating element 2a from a main power supply device 3 and to the auxiliary heating element 2b from an auxiliary power supply device 4 using the capacitor C. Power is fed to the auxiliary heating element 2b from the capacitor C to accelerate temperature rise of a fixing roller 40. Supplied electric energy per a predetermined period to the capacitor C is varied according to the lighting rate of the auxiliary heating element 2b, the supplied electric energy or voltage of the main power supply device 3, the temperature of a pressing roller 41, the temperature of a nip part N between the fixing roller 40 and the pressing roller 41, the number of passing sheets in a job, a job time interval, a job operation period and the like to suppress wasteful discharge of the capacitor C and to reduce a charge period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
