The device (28) has two valves (25, 26) assigned to two flow openings (22, 24) for regulating exhaust gases passing through flows, where one of the valves is completely closed when the other valve is completely opened. The valves are fastened to respective shafts (20, 21) and are separately regulatable from each other for opening and/or closing the flow openings in such a manner that the exhaust gas amount flowing through the openings and guided into an exhaust gas system is adjusted. An independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine comprising an exhaust gas system.
