<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-protecting airbag device having construction for storing a tension belt in a site of a pillar portion arranged extending downward from the upper edge side of a window while enabling to generate great tension on the lower edge side along the approximately longitudinal direction when completing the inflation of an airbag. <P>SOLUTION: The head-protecting airbag device includes the airbag 20 including a bag body 21, the tension belt 38 extending from the rear edge side of the bag body 21 when completing the inflation thereof, and an auxiliary belt 41 provided on the rear edge side of the bag body 21 extending from the upper edge side inside a vehicle. The auxiliary belt 41 is connected at its front end side to a body side member inside the vehicle through the lower side of the tension belt 38. It abuts on the tension belt 38 to pull upward a site connected to the bag body 21 or its vicinity when completing the inflation of the bag body 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
