PURPOSE: A fringe stabilized interferometer using coherent fiber optical tapers is provided to raise the light-focusing efficiency using multi-stage coherent fiber optic tapers for generating a reference wave front and to easily measure the fringe between the reference wave front and the measured wave front of a measuring object in real time. CONSTITUTION: A fringe stabilized interferometer using coherent fiber optical tapers comprises a light source(101), a first condensing lens(102), a first spatial filter(103), a first collimating lens(104), a first half-wave plate(105), a first polarization beam splitter(106), a 1/4 wave plate(107), a second half-wave plate(110), a second condensing lens(113), multi-stage coherent fiber optic tapers(114), a second spatial filter(115), a second collimating lens(116), a third polarization beam splitter(117), a corner cube(112), a polarizer(118), and a detector(119). The first condensing lens, the first spatial filter and the first collimating lens are successively arranged from the light source to change the beam illuminated from the light source into the parallel beam. The first half-wave plate rotates the polarization direction of the linearly polarized beam. The first polarization splitter reflects and transmits the light incoming from the first half-wave plate. The optic fiber taper collects the light incoming from the second condensing lens to one place. The second spatial filter generates a spherical wave by rotation in order to generate the reference wave front.
