<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure among covered electric wires in which a plurality of the covered electric wires are pinched between a pair of resin chips without peeling off covering materials of their end parts, and core wires are electrically and conductively connected to each other and tightly sealed by pressurization and vibration of the pair of the resin chips as they are. <P>SOLUTION: On joint faces of the pair of the resin chips 2, an end part positioning part 5 in which the end parts of the electric wires are positioned, electric wire alignment grooves 6 to align and hold the electric wires at predetermined positions, and welding ribs 7 of which melting is accelerated at pressurization and vibration are formed. When the electric wires are connected to each other, at the end part positioning part 5 formed at one resin chip 2, the end parts of the electric wires having the covering materials not peeled off are positioned, and then aligned and held by the electric wire alignment grooves 6. Then, the pair of the resin chips 2 are pressurized and vibrated using an ultrasonic horn in a state that the other resin chip 2 is covered. As a result, the covering materials of the end parts are molten, and the core wires are conductively connected to each other, then tightly sealed by melting of the pair of the resin chips 2. The welding ribs 7 are formed at a height and a length obtained by forming gaps at surroundings of the electric wires at the end edge of the resin chip 2 when welding is completed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
