<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: in a display device such as a HMD (head-mounted display), aberrations are increased when the incident position of a scanning beam on a deflection means is near a scanning means, consequently, the resolution is reduced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The deflection means is inclined as a whole so that a distance between the beam incident position on the deflection means and the scanning means in a horizontal direction may be equal to or more than a fixed value, accordingly, the influence of the aberrations is suppressed, and deterioration in image resolution is prevented.
