A method for raising fish capacity of water reservoirs includes selection of highly-productive breeding stock with high rate of growth for artificial fish reproduction is proposed. The breeding stock is selected on the basis of determining fish scale index which is determined as a ratio of horizontal and vertical sizes of a scale plate. If the result of said ratio is in excess of one, it means that the fish is quickly-growing, and if it is less than one, then the fish is slow-growing, not capable to high rate of growth. |
