A transmission, wherein gears (43-46) of a third gear group provided to an output shaft (16) are shared by gears (31-34) of a first gear group provided to a first sub input shaft (13) to which driving force of a main input shaft (12) is transmitted through a first clutch (24) and by gears (37-39) of a second gear group provided to a second sub input shaft (14) to which the driving force of the main input shaft (12) is transmitted through idler gears (17-19) and a second clutch (25). The configuration reduces the number of parts and reduces the size of the transmission. Also, any of shift positions can be achieved independent of a before-after relationship between the timing of switching between the first and second clutches (24, 25) and the timing of switching between synchronizing devices (35, 36, 41, 42). As a result, shift shock due to a difference between the timings is prevented from occurring to thereby enable smooth shifting. |
