<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a mechanism switching between enabling and disabling of power transmission between a rotating transmission member and a shaft in response to a moving direction in an axial direction of the rotating transmission member in regard to a power transmission switching mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The power transmission switching mechanism 10 is equipped with a linear motion gear 16 rotatably supported by an input shaft 14 such that it is movable in an axial direction, a synchronization hub 18 rotatably engaging with the input shaft 14 such that it is movable in the axial direction of the input shaft 14, a coupling sleeve 20 rotatably engaged with the synchronization hub 18 such that it is movable in the axial direction of the input shaft 14, and a pair of stoppers 26, 28. The linear motion gear 16 has a male spline part 22 engaged with the coupling sleeve 20 when the coupling sleeve 20 is moved in one axial direction. The pair of stoppers 26, 28 moves the synchronization hub 18 and the linear motion gear 16 in another axial direction when the coupling sleeve 20 is moved in the other axial direction.
