A composition comprises polyvinyl chloride particles dispersed in an aromatic solvent which solvent contains at least 70% by weight of one or more mono- and/or dimethyl naphthalenes. Other ingredients exemplified are titanium dioxide, barytes and dibutyl tin dilaurate.ALSO:A primed steel sheet is coated with a composition which comprises polyvinyl chloride particles dispersed in an aromatic solvent, which solvent comprises at least 70% by weight of one or more mono- and/or dimethyl naphthalenes. Other ingredients exemplified are titanium dioxide, barytes and dibutyl tin di-laurate. The composition is sprayed on to the steel plate and then baked for 10 minutes at 180 DEG C.
