PURPOSE: An image forming device and a method for preventing spam advertising are provided to display contents of fax when fax is received, thereby preventing output of the spam advertisement. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(Central Processing Unit)(7) receives a fax signal through a telephone line. A signal part(6) informs the reception of the fax signal by sound. A memory(1~3) stores the receives fax signal in a constant timed. LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) monitor displays a number, capacity and contents of the received fax. If the contents of fax displayed through the LCD monitor is spam advertisement, control panel(16) transmits the spam advertisement to a spam processor(9). If the spam advertisement is confirmed through the LCD monitor, a spam processing unit process the spam advertisement. |
