PURPOSE: A decoupling-type TV system and a control method thereof are provided to transceiver control data between a display device and a video signal supply unit by designating a communication protocol according to a support function between the display device and the video signal supply unit without a separate communication line. CONSTITUTION: A video signal supply unit(200) offers AV(Audio/Video) data. A display unit(100) outputs the audio/video data. Based on authenticated Identification information, the video signal supply unit and the display unit compartmentalize mutual support functions. The video signal supply unit and the display unit designate a communication protocol according to the support functions. Based on the designated communication protocol, the video signal supply unit and the display unit transceive mutual control data. |
