SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTENT DELIVERY USING CACHE SERVER AND BROWSER CACHE

PURPOSE: A content transmission system using a browser cache of a wireless terminal and a cache server and a method thereof are provided to group a browser cache of a corresponding wireless terminal and a browser cache of another wireless terminal when a content request exists from a wireless terminal and transmit corresponding contents in an optimal storage in consideration of response time of a CDN(Content Delivery Network) provider cache server and at least one grouped browser cache with a wireless terminal to transmit corresponding contents. CONSTITUTION: A contents transmission system comprises a content server(150), a wireless terminal(110-1) and a provider name server(130). The content server stores contents in a cache server(140) storing data and one or more browser caches(120-2). The wireless terminal requests a IP address of a storage for transmitting the contents to the provider name server. The provider name server groups a browser cache of the wireless terminal and at least one wireless terminal browser cache adjacent to the wireless terminal into one browser cache group. The provider name server returns an IP address to the wireless terminal in consideration of the response speed between the wireless terminal and the cache server and the response speed of one or more the browser cache. The content transmission system selects an optimal storage between a cache server and a browser cache to respond to a content request.
