<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror device applicable as an information transmitting means without impairing the original function as a mirror surface. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The surface of a translucent mirror plate 5 is divided into a mirror surface part 7 and a translucent part 8 by layering an opaque material on the rear surface. A display device 4 to display a message with the light transmitting the translucent part 8 is disposed on the rear side of the translucent part 8. As the translucent mirror is divided into the mirror surface part and the translucent part simply by layering the opaque material on the translucent mirror plate, the inexpensive device utilizing the translucent mirror plate can be provided.
