<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen printing plate, which consists of a metal mask itself and whose outer periphery is attached to a screen frame through a flexible tensionally spanning part, in which the joining between the metal mask and the flexible tensionally spanning part is strong and hard to separate and the separation due to the pressure of printing, human physical pressure, or the like, is hard to develop, and which has less possibility for impairing the printability intrinsic to the metal mask and is excellent in durability, and to provide a method for manufacturing the plate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The screen printing plate comprises the metal mask 10, the screen frame 14, and the flexible tensionally spanning part 16, and has an adhesive pushed-out region 22, which does not have the flexible tensionally spanning part 16 but the adhesive layer 18, is provided to the center side of the metal mask 10, by cutting the flexible tensionally spanning part 16 at a location lying a slightly outer periphery side from the metal mask center side edge of the adhesive layer 18 and removing the flexible tensionally spanning part 16 on the metal mask center side of a cut part in the joint between the metal mask 10 and the flexible tensionally spanning part 16.
