<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for image transmission for suppressing the time and labor of a user by automatically setting a subject name and an address when performing data communication on the basis of schedule data. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image transmission apparatus includes: a reception part for receiving the schedule data; a setting part for setting the subject name and the address to be used in the data communication on the basis of the received schedule data; an image data file preparation means for preparing an image data file; and a data communication part for transmitting the image data file using the set subject name and address.
