PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric oscillator having good frequency drift characteristics. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric oscillator includes a container body, a piezoelectric vibrating element, an integrated circuit element and a lid. The container body mainly comprises: a substrate part; a first frame part which is provided on one principal surface of the substrate part and has a first recessed space formed therein; and a second frame part which is provided on the other principal surface of the substrate part and has a second recessed space formed therein, and the container body has a pair of two piezoelectric vibrating element mounting pads provided on the one principal surface of the substrate part exposed in the first recessed space and a plurality of integrated circuit element mounting pads provided on the other principal surface of the substrate part exposed in the second recessed space. The piezoelectric vibrating element is mounted on the piezoelectric vibrating element mounting pads, the integrated circuit element is mounted on the integrated circuit element mounting pads, and the lid airtightly seals the first recessed space. Then, a via conductor connected to an integrated circuit element mounting pad nearby a corner of the second recessed space and a first electrode films connected to the via conductor are provided at the second frame part in the second recessed space.
