<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle controlling device capable of obtaining a more comfortable traveling feeling. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This vehicle controlling device 1 comprises a braking means 6a for braking a vehicle by applying a braking force to the vehicle, a limiting means 3a for controlling the braking means 6a to limit a vehicle speed to not more than a set vehicle speed, a vehicle speed detection means 3b for detecting the vehicle speed, a treading amount detection means 6b for detecting a treading amount of a brake pedal, and an inter-vehicle distance detection means 3c for detecting existence of a preceding vehicle positioned in front of the vehicle and a distance between one's own vehicle and the preceding vehicle. When the limiting means 3a limits the vehicle speed, the treading amount is not more than a predetermined amount, the inter-vehicle distance detection means 3c detects that there is no preceding vehicle, and the vehicle speed is not more than a predetermined speed relative to a set vehicle speed, the braking means 6a reduces the braking force based on the control of the limiting means 3a.
