<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle side part structure capable of efficiently absorbing the collision energy exerted at collision of the vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a door 19 is in a closed state, an outer end surface in a vehicle width direction of an upper plate 34 of a step box 6 comes closer to a first inner surface 23 of a lower part of the door 19 and is opposed to it, and the outer upper surface in the vehicle width direction of the upper plate 34 comes closes to a second lower surface 24 and is opposed to it. Further, the outer end surface in the vehicle width direction of a side plate 48 of a movable step part 35 comes closes to the first inner surface 23 of the lower part of the door 19 and is opposed to it.
