<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a webbing winding device capable of changing the absorption amount of kinetic energy of the body of an occupant making inertial movement to the vehicle front side with a relatively simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The webbing winding device 10 deforms wire 84 later than a torsion shaft 30 by torsional deformation of the torsion shaft 30 to change the absorption amount in the course of absorbing the kinetic energy of the body of the occupant and to eliminate an additional structure for delaying the timing of a deformation start of an insertion portion 86 (the wire 84) greater than the timing of a deformation start of the torsion shaft 30, thus providing a simple structure and reduced cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
