The unit has a gearbox with an input shaft, which is rotatably connected to an internal combustion engine. A starter generator and the internal combustion engine operate an output shaft. A centrifugal coupler (8) is provided for coupling the input shaft with the output shaft. The coupler depends on the rotation speed of the output shaft, and a free wheel (9) is arranged parallel to the coupler.
