A plurality of pixels are installed in a plurality of domains of the back light. A control unit respectively compares image data at a plurality of domains for a plurality of frame periods. A control unit determines luminance based on the image data having a highest display luminance. A back light controller(104) lights a plurality of regions included in the back light unit.</p>
