A video telephone police station system capable of enabling even a small number of staff to deal with a large number of visitors by separating emergence calls and normal calls and by enabling the staff not to need to make any investigation record at the normal front desk. A police station is provided with a police station terminal (12). A video telephone reception center (100) is provided with a reception server (110), an automatic answering server (120), an MCU (130), and a reception terminal (140) interconnected through communicating lines (600). The police station terminal has an emergency call button and a normal reception button. The reception server, in a normal reception mode, connects the police station terminal to the automatic answering server, sequentially takes out interrogation videos from an investigation record file, transmits them to the police station terminal, and acquires an answer video or character information in response thereto, thus automatically making an investigation record. In an emergency call, the reception server has a function of calling and connecting a reception terminal having a lower priority even if all the reception terminals are connected.
