Disclosed is a method that can applied to the manufacture of polymer electrolytes with high ion exchange capacity and that improve ionic conductivity by having a more uniform crosslinking point than conventional methods. The polymer electrolyte synthesis method comprises a first step wherein a polymer having a sulfonic acid group and a sulfonyl halide group in the molecule is kept at 0°C or less in the presence of a base, and a second step wherein the polymer produced in the first step is crosslinked by reacting in an organic solvent with a crosslinking agent that has at least one type of functional group selected from a disulfonylamide group, a diamine group, a diol group or a dithiol group. |
