PURPOSE:To contrive the compactness of an engine total unit by alternately arranging an intake distributor pipe, connected to an intake port of a pair of cylinder rows, in the axial direction of a crankshaft simultaneously with the intake upstream end of each distributor pipe curved in a downward direction and connected to a surge tank. CONSTITUTION:An intake distributor pipe 20 is respectively connected to an intake port 10 in each cylinder, formed in cylinder heads 7a, 7b of a pair of cylinder rows 4a, 4b of a V-engine, with each intake distributor pipe 20 connected to a surge tank 16 arranged in almost V-shaped space 15 interposed by the cylinder rows 4a, 4b. Here the intake distributor pipe 20, which passes through the upper of the surge tank 16, is drawn out to a side of the other cylinder rows 4a, 4b, and the pipe 20 is curved in a circular arc-shaped section toward an upper side in the upper of the surge tank 16 while arranged to be alternately lined in the axial direction of a crankshaft 3. While the upstream end of each intake distributor pipe 20 is curved in a lower direction and connected to the surge tank 16 with a connection port 28 of the tank positioned in the lower of the intake distributor pipe 20.
