<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which an elevating and lowering mechanism for a belt unit is constituted of a small number of parts by using compact parts. <P>SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer unit 30 is mounted on a drawer unit 36, and a manual lever 70 is held to push the drawer unit 36 to an inner side of housing structure 10. By turning the manual lever 70 in a direction shown by an arrow A' at a position where the drawer unit is fully pushed in, a cam 74F rotates to press a pressure spring member 75FL and lift up a turning shaft 120 of the cam 74F. Since the same elevating and lowering mechanisms are arranged at both ends of the turning shafts 115 and 120, the intermediate transfer unit 30 rises while keeping horizontal posture, and an intermediate transfer belt 31 equally contacts the photoreceptor drum by predetermined pressure force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
