<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the cold flow of a polymer; the cold flow poses a problem caused by flowing of the polymer by the self-weight when transporting and storing the polymer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A method for forming the polymer composition comprises a process for introducing a mixture or reaction product of (i) an acetal or ketal of an alditol and (ii) (a) a hydrocarbylated boric acid, (b) an organoaluminum compound or (c) both hydrocarbylated boric acid and an organoaluminum compound, into a polymer.
