PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray inspection device capable of stably feeding an inspection target easy to turn over, reducing the leak possibility of X rays, not becoming excessive in its length and reduced in its installation space. SOLUTION: The inspection target is fed to the rear stage of a housing 2 having an X-ray emitting means and a detection means from the front stage thereof by feed means 6 and 8. The edge face 11 of the cover 9 for covering the feed means 8 outside the housing is closed. An opening 12 is formed to one of the wall surfaces of the cover provided in the vicinity of the edge face and parallel to the feed direction and, herein, the end part of the outside feed means 7 and the end part of the feed means 8 are arranged in a row. The inspection target is transferred between the outside feed means and the feed means through the opening by the guide means 15 provided herein. Even if the length of the cover is made short, the leak possibility of X rays from the opening is low and the inspection target can be stably transferred through an almost Z-shaped route.
