<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of easily extracting and capturing the image of a preferred composition from captured images. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an optical member, an imaging section, a storage means, a display section and an operation input means, and also includes a display control means for simultaneously displaying the captured image captured in the imaging section and a frame whose size and position are variable at the display section, adjusting the size and position of the frame according to an operation input obtained in the operation input means, storing a section of the captured image corresponding to the adjusted size and position of the frame in the storage means as a selected image, and simultaneously displaying a through image captured in the imaging section and the image for which the selected image stored in the storage means is enlarged to be in the same size as a display screen at the display section.
