The device has a heat exchanger (11) placed in a bypass line (10) between an exhaust gas discharge valve (9) and a depollution assembly (8), and in a heat regulation circuit (12). The circuit has a pump (13) for circulating a heat transfer fluid, and a forced air heater (14) for blowing a heat regulated air into a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. The valve is placed in an exhaust line (3) in downstream of an internal combustion engine (1), and in upstream of a turbine (4) to deviate exhaust gas to the turbine. A bypass unit (20) is arranged in the bypass line.
