摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing glass substrates for magnetic recording mediums, in which the glass substrates are firmly fixed to each other and separated from each other at the end of a coring step when a laminate composed of a plurality of laminated glass substrates is cored. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A fluid resin 10 is applied onto the surfaces of disk-shaped glass substrates 1 and the glass substrates 1 are laminated to produce a laminate 20. Thereafter, the resin 10 is hardened to fix the glass substrates 1 to each other. Thereafter, at the center of the laminate 20, a through-hole penetrating the glass holes 1 in the thickness direction is formed. For the laminate 20 with the through-hole formed thereon, the inner peripheral end faces and outer peripheral end faces of the glass substrates 1 are polished with a polishing brush. Thereafter, the laminate 20 is heated at a temperature of carbonizing the resin 10 so that the resin 10 can be peeled off from the glass substrates 1 to separate the grass substrates 1 from each other.
