<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous cosmetic which stably disperses ceramide-containing particles having a fine particle diameter therein and exhibits viscosity in accordance with the mode of application without causing a precipitate and a method for producing the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The aqueous cosmetic contains at least (1) ceramide-containing particles containing at least a ceramide and having a volume-average particle diameter to be dispersed in the aqueous phase as an oil phase component of 2-150 nm, (2) a 10-30C fatty acid or a salt thereof, and (3) 0.1-0.7 mass% natural polysaccharide based on the entire mass of the aqueous cosmetic and includes liquid viscosity in the range of 200-2,000 mPa s.
