摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communications apparatus which selects one from among plural communication modes, such as, MIMO communication system so as to obtain a higher communication rate within a range in which chain retransmission does not occur. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An MCS value to be used is changed step by step, according to the transmission count of the same data and the success/failure of communication, so as to control the MCS value, thereby obtaining the higher communication rate within the range in which the chain retransmission does not occur. A MIMO system deciding section 14 of a radio transmitter unit 1 decides a MIMO system, with reference to the CQI value demultiplexed by a demultiplexer 18 and a measured rate table 13, and an AMC table controlling section 15 selects an MCS value to be used, based on the decided MIMO system and the CQI value, and changes the MCS value step by step, according to the transmission count and the success/failure of the communication. Furthermore, the AMC table control section 15 updates the mean rate in the measured rate table, when the subject data is received successfully or when the transmission count reaches the maximum value.
