The arrangement has a holding device arranged at an external side of a burner housing component (12) in an area of a glow plug retaining opening such that a glow plug (21) arranged in the retaining opening is fixed relative to the burner housing component. The holding device has a cable guiding section with a gap, where a part of an electric cable is guided through the cable guiding section and fixed in the gap. The electric cable is guided away from the glow plug in the retaining opening, and the burner housing component limits a combustion chamber (10).
